music music music

with so many good local bands visiting our fine city of late, I realise that I don't pay nearly enough attention to some of the lesser known [Read: never heard of] artists within the community. this past week I have been privileged to experience: Atlas, The Bats, The Undercurrents, Pine, St. Jude, Slipstream, House of Dolls, Casionova (again, brilliantly unexpected), Not So Experimental, The Insurgents, This Night Creeps & The Shaky Hands! (pictured). plus one or two more I apologise for forgetting. anyhow, check out these guys. Well worth it. Posted by Picasa

daytime musings

with free days aplenty right now, there seems a great deal - and yet not - to do. still, nice to be able to sit in the sun (when it comes out).

update

I am still here, yes...

what's up peeps? I'll tell you what's up with me.

first, today I heard a guy in the square singing a Cindy Lauper song. not only that... he sounded like Neil Diamond. OH what a world we live in!

second, Cuscus left town this morning with a whirlwind of rumors... none of which I can publish until the truth is validated (respectful journalism). but hang around, i'll let y'all know.

third, tomorrow is the day they announce the top 100 screenplays at Project Greenlight. I'll be right here with my digits on the keyboard tomorrow morning, not that i'm expecting to be there, but I can hope.

fourth, well, I can't remember what I actually had in store for fourth, but fifth was that the Knawtra DVD is almost finished... just going to try and get some nice covers & disc labels printed up. Huzzah.

anyway, back to whatever you were all doing.
